Newfield Spring Wood
A wide range of groups and friends have been involved in the management and conservation work on a “work for well being” basis.
Women unboughed
We are a friendly group of women who work in the wood one weekday afternoon each week throughout the year. We are always keen to hear from women wanting to come along.
Open to all
We also have work days and occasional workshops open to all, usually at weekends. Particularly popular are the hazel coppicing days usually in late January or early February. Get in touch if you are interested to know more. Once you have been on a couple of volunteer days and learnt a bit about the wood you can become a Friend of Newfield Wood.
Leaky dam days
Don Catchment Rivers Trust organise Natural Flood Management volunteer work in the woods once a month. Link….
